Tzaharon

Curriculum

Each week’s theme has a driving question and overarching project of the week. Our children become fully engaged by building museums and zoos, becoming reporters, artists, veterinarians and more. Activities involve inventing, cooking, puppet theater, games, missions, and adventures that empower them to direct their own learning.

Each Day there are activities that exercise the gross and fine motor skills, projects and stations that promote sharing and articulating ideas and feelings. As children vary in their learning styles, we provide multiple opportunities to captivate all senses to master the skills of the week.

What will my child learn?

Each week we introduce a new letter and corresponding theme. We rotate between different learning stations to practice and master skills of identifying the letter name, sound and proper formation. Our curriculum includes special weeks designed to reflect on our portfolio of learning.

We also use book club days to explore literary elements and integrate life skills. Every fifth week, we have reflection week where we meet each student individually to further evaluate their developmental progress and make meaning of the things they loved just as much as the things they found challenging.

Book Clubs

Curriculum

Our extremely successful Nook Book Clubs are a direct result of our passion for teaching children of all ages to unleash their imaginations by reading for pleasure. Our philosophy is based on the idea that we are the main characters in our own stories! We run parallel plots alongside all of humanity, weaving in and out of other stories as supporting characters while developing our own.

What are Parents saying

"Two of our kids go to the Nook English classes. This is their second year and they LOVE it! The personal attention, the friendly environment, and the variety of activities makes it an enjoyable learning activity. You can definitely see the effort and the thought behind the educational materials, and you can clearly see your child's progress. Having them go to the Nook is not only teaching them reading, writing and interacting, but also is helping with their self confidence in English. I highly recommend Sharon and her staff!"

Shiran & David Glotter

"Our kids absolutely thrived at the Nook! Tamar, Sharon and the entire team provided an incredibly warm and loving environment where two (very different) Gan Chova kids loved participating and learning. The Nook is a happy, cozy place where kids are met at their level and given the skills and confidence to reach their educational and creative potential. We can’t recommend the Nook highly enough!"

Ahuva & Stu Halpern

"I am grateful for the enriching experience provided by The Nook. The staff’s dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment is truly commendable. The expertise and the commitment of the staff have played a pivotal role in cultivating my son's literacy skills, making the learning process enjoyable and effective."

Sarah & Natanel Reiss

"The Nook is the best investment we have made this year! The staff is made up of the perfect pair and are so warm and welcoming to the kids. In just 2 months, our son has already expanded his vocabulary, recognizes many new letters, and has made amazing art projects. Easily his favorite part of the day is going to the Nook! It really is amazing how much kids can learn in just a few short hours at the end of the day! 10/10 recommend and wish our son could do tzaharon at the Nook forever."

Rachel & Elan Secunda

"I'm so happy to have chosen to send my daughter to the Nook tzaharon this year. My daughter is thriving socially and emotionally and it's clear to me that it's in large part due to the Nook. The program is rich and varied, both educationally enriching but also always fun. The only downside is that my daughter never wants to leave!"

Yael & Ari Horovitz

"Each day our son comes home excited, inspired and passionate about the new learnings of the day. Excellent job to the Nook Staff for creating such a fun and energetic learning process for the kids. It brings me great joy to see him happy and satisfied upon pick up each day. "
